My name is Alexa Young
Rev. Kassandra Bullock is the Pastor of Third Baptist Church, established in 1842 in Petersburg, Virginia. She made history as the first woman to ever hold this sacred office on November 26, 2023. Reverend Bullock was licensed to preach the Gospel on February 8, 2015, and ordained on May 15, 2016, at Third Baptist Church under the leadership of he late Rev. Leroy A. Cherry. Rev. Bullock has accepted and actively embraces the Call to the Ministry, and steadfastly believes that the Best is Yet to Come!
Her mantra is found in a quote from Marian Wright Edelman:
“Service is the rent we pay forbeing. It is the very purpose in life, and not something you do in your spare time.”

On October 12, 2025 @ 10AM, the Women's Ministry will showcase the power of faith in action. As we uplift God and inspire the global community of believers, Minister Mireya Coleman will deliver her initial sermon, sharing a message of hope and empowerment for that which was, is and yet to come. Join us at our beloved Ole Ship of Zion to witness the life changing power of God and celebrate the incredible journey of His anointed servant as she answers her calling to spread the word.
